Dozer Loader Operator

Description

The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This role requires operating a Dozer and other related equipment as necessary for daily operations. Duties include performing daily pre and post inspections of equipment and working areas, ensuring these areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways, and participating in safety inspections, plant safety programs, and following company and MSHA safety rules and regulations.

• Constructing haul roads
• Preparing drill benches
• Leveling shot material after blasting
• Constructing drainage as needed
• Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles
• Performing pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and reporting needed repairs to the supervisor
• Performing preventative maintenance, servicing mobile equipment, and maintaining good housekeeping of equipment
• Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed
• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position. Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment, and/or equipment used in processing plants is preferred, particularly in the operation and maintenance of a dozer.

Qualifications

This position requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Skills

Highly skilled in operating a dozer and other related equipment. Proficient in safety protocols and procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, including weekends and overtime as necessary.
