Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site to ensure security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Make periodic tours to check for irregularities.
• Preserve order and enforce site regulations and directives concerning personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Ability to stand for the majority of the workday.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and guests inside the school.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with parents, students, staff, and community members.
• Monitor hallways, stairwells, toilet facilities, outside facilities, and other public/unsupervised areas to ensure safety and security.
• Assist with fire drills, crises, and emergency building evacuations.
• Assist administrators and staff during crisis and emergency situations.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow of students through hallways, helping them arrive on time to class and assigned locations.
• Supervise and direct student movement during arrival and dismissal.
• Update security records, logs, and reports.
• Ensure all doors and gates are locked and alarms engaged at designated times.
• Assist staff and emergency personnel in handling emergencies and de‑escalating disruptive situations.
• Perform daily operational duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Available to work weekends.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to verbally de‑escalate situations.
• Reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Prior school experience preferred.

Pay

Up to USD $21.00 per hour.

Thursday–Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
