Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned South Hamtons Area.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry during work tour and in a calm manner directs persons who cause a disturbance or unauthorized to leave property.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.
• Carries out all functions, duties or tasks in an honest, ethical, and professional manner, and in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures; requests clarification from supervisors when uncertain.
• Reports irregularities and informs violators of policy and procedures.
• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Performs tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain an Armed N.Y.S. Security Guard license for retired Law Enforcement.
