About the role

US Foods offers a SkillBridge internship for active‑duty U.S. military service members approved for the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program and within their final 12 months of service. The internship is unpaid, does not provide company‑sponsored benefits, and participants remain on active duty while gaining hands‑on experience across various business functions.

Responsibilities

• Learn about operations within a national foodservice distribution organization
• Participate in leadership development and professional growth opportunities
• Support business initiatives, projects, and day‑to‑day operations
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organization
• Develop skills related to communication, problem solving, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
• Gain exposure to business processes, technology, customer service, logistics, supply chain, people leadership, and other corporate functions
• Build professional relationships and learn about civilian career pathways
• Receive coaching, mentorship, and feedback from business leaders

Qualifications

• Be an active‑duty service member approved or eligible for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program
• Be within the final 12 months of active‑duty service
• Obtain command approval in accordance with military branch requirements
• Meet any location‑specific requirements associated with the fellowship assignment
