Double Bottom Driver

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and timely delivery of full good or raw materials to our customers, distribution centers, or manufacturing facilities according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, company policies, and DOT Hours of Service guidelines
• Conduct daily pre and post-trip safety inspections on company assets; submit orders for any needed repairs, and ensure all loads are secure before leaving any facility and are safe for transit
• Ensure daily compliance to all Electronic Logging Device (ELD) processes regarding DOT Hours of Service are accounted for correctly
• Complete all related safety activities and ensure the proper use of all company assets when in transit; when delivering and dropping trailers at the designated delivery location, including the repetitive hooking and unhooking of trailers multiple times during the day

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Class A commercial driver’s license with Haz-Mat and doubles endorsements
• Minimum 2 years verifiable Over the Road, Bulk Rig driving experience (Tractor, Trailer, or Transport Vehicle)
• Must have an excellent driving record. A 7-year Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed
• Must be able to work set shift times
• Must be able to pass and maintain DOT physical requirements and be 21 years of age or older
• Must have an excellent safety record

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
• Class A commercial driver’s license
• Haz-Mat and doubles endorsements may be required for certain geographical areas
• Required to complete all monthly and yearly assigned safety training

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
