About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced .NET Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, APIs, and database integrations that support our enterprise applications. Your expertise in ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps will be crucial in building scalable, reliable, and secure microservices. As part of our federal consulting organization, you will handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and adhere to all safeguarding and compliance requirements, ensuring the highest standards of security and confidentiality are maintained.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on ASP.NET services
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET frameworks
- Experience in building microservices using ASP.NET Core
- Proficiency in developing and integrating GraphQL APIs
- Prior experience in constructing and managing PostgreSQL databases for large-scale enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core (EFCore) for database integration
- Support and deployment experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, etc.)
- Experience with Docker containerization and container orchestration
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, including Azure Pipelines and Git
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within Agile teams
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services to implement complex business logic and data modifications using ASP.NET and EFCore
- Create and maintain robust unit tests for APIs and application components to ensure high quality and reliability
- Integrate advanced observability features, including Open Telemetry metrics and correlation identifiers, into services
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by testers and end-users, addressing bugs promptly and effectively
- Diagnose operational problems in deployed environments and log detailed bug reports for resolution
- Model and refine data structures for new features, optimizing existing models for performance and scalability
- Develop complex SQL queries and views to enhance application integration and performance
- Maintain and evolve GraphQL schemas to support seamless data integration across multiple systems
- Support Azure cloud services integration, including AKS, Storage, and Key Vaults, ensuring secure and efficient deployment
- Utilize Docker for containerization and support Kubernetes for deployment management, including Helm chart updates
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews, using Azure DevOps and Git for task and code management
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines
