DOT Delivery Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking bright, energetic individuals to join our Furniture Delivery Driver Assistant team. This role involves delivering and setting up furniture to customers' homes in a safe and professional manner, while adhering to customer delivery time windows.

Pay & Schedule

Starting at $19.50 an hour, with potential increases based on experience. Shifts typically start at 7:30 am and can last up to 10 hours or 8 hours, depending on the route, running 4 or 5 days a week, excluding Sundays.

Earning Opportunity

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
• Current Driver's License with a clean driving record and minimal moving violations.
• Able to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds throughout the shift.
• Must be able to achieve DOT Certification (company-paid).
• Pass background checks and drug screens, including THC testing.

Work Environment

• Driving or riding in Havertys delivery trucks: proper uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable.
• Shifts start at 7:30 am and work until completion. Routes may run 4 (10/hr +) or 5 (8/hr +) days per week but not on Sundays.

Physical Demands

• Must successfully complete a physical assessment.
• Able to move 150 pounds, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling furniture.
• The role involves driving, going in and out of customers' homes, and properly handling materials.
