Door Shop Assembler

As a Door Shop Assembler, you will manufacture alongside team members to build pre-hung doors for our customers, inspect the overall quality and accuracy of the finished product before preparing it for shipment, become comfortable adjusting and performing routine maintenance on all tools, and learn how to work safely and maintain good housekeeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders that identify materials needed
• Gather prescribed materials from stock using forklifts, hand trucks and rolling carts
• Set materials in designated area for packaging
• Interpret work orders and detect essential adjustments
• Operate machinery that alters the product
• Stage products in preparation for shipment
• Remain in compliance with OSHA and keep up-to-date with changes in policies

Requirements

• Problem solving and basic math skills
• Ability to stand (8-9 hrs per day), walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift items up to 70 pounds
• Able to participate in team lifts for objects between 70 and 150 pounds and maneuver items weighing up to 150 pounds
• Willing to become comfortable using various tools, including chops saws, table saws, rip saws, hand saws, routers, nail guns, door machines, pneumatic tools, and drills

Qualifications

Experience in general labor, construction, hand tools, forklifts, or production line work is a plus, but not required to join our great shop team. Knowledge of door components and assembling techniques is preferred, but not required.

Skills

Our Ideal Manufacturing candidate comes with problem solving and basic math skills, and is able to work safely and maintain good housekeeping practices.

Pay

$20.00-$21.00 an hour to start, with multiple wage increases within the first year.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 6:00AM- 2:30PM.
