Donor Recruitment Associate
About the role
Perform liaison and support activities related to recruitment management of sponsors, coordinators and donors including administrative paperwork, sponsor and donor communications, data base queries, web searches, dissemination of daily collection performance, special event coverage, and distribution of drive media and promotional materials.
Schedule
Typically Monday - Friday business hours (typically 8am - 4:30pm; however this is flexible based on demand).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate communications between sponsors, coordinators, donors, recruitment representatives and the blood center
- Serve as primary point of contact for the Donor Recruiters when they are not in the office and provides back-up and support coverage as needed
- Answer and/or work with Account Managers to resolve general questions, recruitment issues, solve problems, and update/maintain donor
- Create and provide promotional materials to Account
- Communicate details and results with staff
- Uses software systems to produce queries, donor lists and other applicable reports to recruitment and management
- Maintains accurate computer data entry, appointment schedules, and written records
- Possesses a clear understanding of the donation process and donor deferral guidelines and procedures
- Refers donor inquiries to appropriate personnel
- Respects confidentiality regarding donor information and MBC's materials
- Manage high school scholarship program
- Recruit blood donors at off-site events such as health fairs, sign up sessions or day of blood drives
- Helps with additional projects as needed
- Provide support calling of donors for blood drives
- Create call lists
- Supports donor calling efforts by following scripts
- Presents a positive public image when speaking with donors
- Builds rapport with donors using effective listening
- Maintains confidentiality of donor data
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is between $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience in customer service, sales, and/or administrative support
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Preferred qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Blood banking knowledge and customer service training preferred
