JOB SUMMARY
The Donor Greeter under the supervision of the TLC and/or Assistant Team Leader (ATL) greets donors promptly, friendlily, and courteously; assists with donation unloading, provides tax receipts, and keeps accurate daily donation counts.
JOB DUTIES
- Greet donors within 10 seconds in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner.
- Achieve 100% donor and customer satisfaction.
- Assist donors with unloading donations from vehicles, offer tax receipts, and maintain accurate daily counts of donations.
- Separate and record donations into categories, providing daily counts to the Supervisor.
- Use proper safety procedures when operating the compactor, lifting heavy items, handling sharp items, chemicals, and wrapping fragile items.
- Maintain drive-through and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Transport trash to the compactor/dumpster and operate the compactor as needed.
- Adhere to all MGI and personnel policies and procedures, following good safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards.
- Review and utilize current Consumer Product Safety Commission Recall bulletins to prevent unsafe items from being sold in the store.
- Attend in-service and related training as assigned by the TLC and/or ATL.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., bend, reach, and stand for extended periods, and lift up to 60 lbs. regularly.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Variations of temperature.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with TLC, ATL, team members, customers, and donors.
- Maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and perform basic mathematical skills.
- Be willing to work evenings and weekends/flexible schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods, and lift up to 60 lbs. regularly.
