About the role

This position involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining donor eligibility, and performing various tasks related to plasma collection and product processing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g. FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP)
  • Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and stocks supplies
  • Maintains and troubleshoots donor center equipment
  • Maintains donor confidentiality and records
  • Performs donor vitals evaluation, finger stick, and prepares samples
  • Operates and monitors automated plasmapheresis machines
  • Handles and stores plasma product and samples
  • Monitors and maintains refrigeration/freezer temperatures
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Three (3) months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred
  • Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred (location specific)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions, and manuals
  • Ability to understand verbal instruction
  • Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis
  • Attendance and punctuality required

Qualifications

  • Physical requirements: Utilize all required and appropriate PPE, sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to thirty-five pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, view video display terminals, work in cold environments, perform precise tasks, use assistive devices if needed
