Donation Door Attendant

About the role

The Donation Door Attendant greets and assists donors in a fast-paced environment, providing top-notch service. You will assist in unloading vehicles of donations, treat donations with respect, sort them into proper containers by category, and clean donation areas both inside and out. As a self-starter, you’ll stay busy, meet daily goals, and perform duties according to ESGW’s established Best Practices. You must also assist in all aspects of operations as directed.

• Assist in unloading vehicles of donations
• Sort donations into proper containers by category
• Maintain cleanliness of donation areas (inside and out)
• Strive to meet daily goals
• Perform duties according to ESGW’s Best Practices
• Assist in all aspects of operations as directed

Requirements

• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and carry for entire shift (excluding break times)
• Use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation
• Move 20-100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance
• Tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity
• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community
• Physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements
• Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Completion of a background check (criminal convictions do not automatically bar employment)
