Domestic Shipping Coordinator

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Processes all customer product orders through company’s order entry software system.
• Prepares required shipping documentation for all domestic and international customer orders.
• Coordinates shipments with other Shipping Department personnel to ensure that all shipments are properly prepared & ready for pick-up on-time.
• Serves as the primary customer service contact and resolves all issues as they arise with respect to shipping and customer orders.
• Prepares all documentation necessary for accurate customer packing list & invoicing.
• Scans and files all shipping documentation for future reference and auditing purposes.
• Prepares and ships product samples to potential customers.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Experience in Order Fulfillment and Customer Service.
• Experience in freight logistics including domestic and international transportation of goods.
• Basic computer skills and experience with order entry / inventory systems.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and efficiently coordinate efforts with internal and external customers.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with management, hourly staff, and external vendors professionally and effectively.
• Attention to detail in meeting all customers and shipping requirements.
• Ability to meet deadlines and accommodate rush situations to meet customer needs.
• Forklift operator license a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Walking, standing.
• Lifting - weight of up to 50lbs.
• Typical Work Conditions: Employees are subject to work at the warehouse. Work is in a manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to moving pallets & boxes.
• Physical Hazards: Exposure to food and nutritional bulk ingredients, which may affect the respiratory system or the skin, including an environment subject to odors, dust or airborne allergens.
• Work Environment: Exposure to normal work hazards, including a variety of physical conditions such as a proximity to moving mechanical parts.
• Exposure to noise.
