About the role

We are seeking a trustworthy couple to care for a large private country house in the Indre department (36). The property is located approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Tours and 30 minutes from two small towns; a village with shops is just a few minutes away.

A spacious two-bedroom house is provided for your accommodation. This position is immediately available.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the house, grounds, and outbuildings, including a swimming pool (no formal gardens)
• Occasional driving and upkeep of vehicles
• Operate garden machinery such as tractors and chainsaws
• Perform basic maintenance tasks: painting, carpentry, and other typical country-house repairs
• Care for two large dogs

Requirements

• Full (B) driving licence
• Good health
• Experience with garden machinery is an advantage
• Basic DIY and maintenance skills
• Must enjoy and be comfortable with dogs
• References required and will be checked
