About the role
The Digital Workspace Advisory (DWA) practice within WWT's Enterprise Solutions & Architecture organization is hiring a Domain Architect to lead Cisco UC and Cloud Collaboration engagements.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer-facing services projects of varying size and complexity, including the development of statements of work, low- and high-level designs, deployment plans, method-of-procedure documents, and post-deployment knowledge transfer.
- Serve as the single solution / technical voice for the customer externally and as the escalation point internally for WWT employees, partners, and contractors, partnering with the PMO counterpart to identify and resolve risks and issues.
- In pre-sales, work with Client Services Executives, Technical Solutions Architects, and Account teams to identify desired business and technical outcomes, scope opportunities, define resource requirements and levels of effort, and produce high-quality statements of work — including for opportunities sourced through Softchoice / Cisco partner channels.
- In delivery, build and maintain low- and high-level design documentation for Cisco UC and Webex Calling migrations, perform advanced engineering when needed, review delivery artifacts produced by the engineering team for technical accuracy and brand-consistent "One Voice" tone, and manage each engagement as if it were its own stand-alone business with attention to profitability and customer outcomes.
- Own the scope of UCCX work where it is part of a voice migration scope; the role does not include full-blown Webex Contact Center, Webex Connect, or other dedicated contact-center / CPaaS-led engagements.
- Contribute to practice development by collaborating with delivery, practice, and business-development peers to generate and maintain methodologies, level-of-effort templates, reference architectures, and go-to-market collateral; monitor developing Cisco cloud collaboration technologies and define the services WWT will offer around them; and help bridge the gap between Delivery teams and Practice teams.
- Mentor senior engineers and project engineers through the project lifecycle, including engineers cross-skilling from legacy Cisco UCCM and Microsoft Teams Voice into Webex Calling.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience in IT infrastructure architecture, technology consulting, advisory, or professional services
- 3-5 years operating at a Senior or Lead Architect level (or equivalent scope and responsibility)
- Cisco UC & Cloud Calling Expertise (Required): Deep, hands-on, current expertise across the Cisco UC and cloud-calling stack, including: Webex Calling (UCaaS), On-prem Cisco UC platforms that Webex Calling replaces, and Microsoft Teams Voice
- Pre-Sales & Customer-Facing Rigor (Required): Demonstrated pre-sales discipline, including accurate level-of-effort estimation, defensible solution scoping, ability to articulate solution architecture at both technical and business levels, proven success in customer-facing pre-sales conversations, track record of strong pre-sales closure rates
- Automation, Development & AI Fluency (Required): Hands-on experience with modern automation and development tools, familiarity with Cisco’s native AI capabilities within the Webex Calling cloud, ability to automate Webex Calling and Cisco UC configurations, migration tooling, documentation generation, and active contribution to AI-assisted documentation, level-of-effort generation, and delivery productivity tooling
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a business or technology focused discipline, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience
