Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

About the role

Pup Culture is hiring dog walkers/pet sitters in our service area. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities

- Begin with a couple walks per day with room to grow based on performance and experience. - Get slobbery dog kisses and kitty head butts. - Participate in win step challenges. - Experience the Minnesota seasons with a dog by your side. - Have opportunities to advance in our company. - Earn $16+ per hour + tips. - Receive $.25 mileage reimbursement. - Access health insurance for 30+ hours per week. - Enjoy discounted pet care. - Take paid time off. - Get paid pet first aid/CPR training certification. - Receive a stipend for additional animal training. - Be protected by workers comp and liability insurance.

Requirements

- Excellent time management skills: work anywhere from 4-10 walks per day, usually back-to-back, within a certain timeframe. - Independent and resourceful: work mostly on your own, with initial and ongoing training provided. - Strong communication skills: both written and verbal, communicating with clients and staff through notes. - Animal intuition skills: bring confidence with animals to each visit. - Animal lover with patience: have endless patience when it comes to animals.

Qualifications

- Availability between 10:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday and one weekend a quarter (four times a year). - Long-term commitment. - Smart phone, computer, and internet access. - Reliable transportation. - Live in or near the service area. - Flexible schedule. - Walk in all weather. - Pass a criminal background check.
