About the role

Furmaids Pet Services is a family-owned, highly rated pet care company in Eastern Monmouth County. We focus on well-being first and foremost, using force-free methods and prioritizing the safety and well-being of both pets and their human companions.

Responsibilities

• Make anywhere from 10-20 dog walks per day, back-to-back, within a certain timeframe.
• Work independently and be resourceful, with initial and ongoing training provided.
• Communicate clearly with clients and staff, both verbally and in writing.
• Have strong animal intuition and the ability to read dog body language.
• Walk dogs of various sizes and energy levels, including those with disabilities.
• Work in all weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and snowy.
• Travel within a 10-mile radius of your home.

Requirements

• Able to work flexible hours between 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday and two weekends per quarter (six times a year).
• Able to make a long-term commitment.
• Must NOT work for any other pet care companies such as Rover.
• Must have a smart phone and computer with internet access.
• Must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Live in or near our service area (Asbury Park to Belmar, Neptune, Neptune City).
• Able to walk in all weather conditions.
• Willing to travel within a 10-mile radius of home.

Pay

Team Members typically work around 15-20 hours per week. Compensation is $16.00 per hour plus TIPS, with opportunities for growth in your role. All positions are part-time W2 employee positions.

Schedule

This role is flexible, with a focus on weekdays and two weekends per quarter. The exact schedule can vary based on client needs and availability.
