Dog Sitter

About the role

The Comforted Canine is seeking reliable, responsible dog lovers to provide in-home dog sitting visits and dog walking services. This is a flexible, part-time independent contractor position where you can set your availability and service area, and we will match you with clients.

Responsibilities

• Feeding dogs and refreshing water
• Cleaning up waste
• Giving playtime, affection, or companionship based on each dog's personality
• Sending visit updates and photos through our app
• Fulfilling detailed care instructions provided by clients
• Bringing in mail or packages
• Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested
• Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level
• Handling weekend and holiday availability

Requirements

• Experienced with dog care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
• Confidently handle dogs from small to large
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Strong written communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in clients' homes
• Smartphone with reliable internet & camera
• Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids)

What We Look For

We are looking for individuals who are experienced with dog care, confident handling dogs of various sizes, reliable and punctual, and comfortable working independently in clients' homes. Strong written communication skills and medication experience are also important.

Perks

• Paid per visit, with rates typically starting around $25 per 30 minute visit, with higher pay for longer visits, overnight care, house sitting
