Responsibilities
- Provide top-quality care for pets in our Daycare and Training programs, including feeding, medicating, and maintaining hygienic needs.
- Supervise off-leash group play, ensuring safe interactions and assisting with temperament testing.
- Spend daily individual time with pets to teach behaviors (e.g., sit, stay, come) and develop positive habits like waiting at gates and loose-leash walking.
- Deliver exceptional client service by handling check-ins/check-outs, providing training progress reports, report cards, and homework.
- Maintain a clean environment by disinfecting nap/playrooms, laundering bedding/toys, and ensuring a "fecal-free" outdoor zone.
- Document pet progress and well-being in our Cornerstone computer system.
Requirements
- Knowledge of proper dog training methods and techniques.
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and human body language.
- Calm, nurturing, and confident attitude.
- Excellent communication skills with both dogs and people.
- Patience when working with pets and clients who may learn at different paces.
- Ability to exchange accurate information with clients and team members.
