About the role

Lead a 3K classroom in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily lessons aligned with The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Support early literacy, math, social skills, creativity, and problem-solving
• Maintain consistent routines including learning centers, meals, transitions, and rest time
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers to ensure classroom quality and consistency
• Observe, document, and support children’s developmental progress
• Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication
• Maintain compliance with New York City Department of Health licensing requirements and center policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, or
• CDA credential, or
• High school diploma with 5 or more years of classroom experience
• Experience leading a preschool or 3K classroom
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
