(DOE-013-26) Investigator Trainee (Three positions)

About the role

The Division of Field Support and Services, Office of Student Safety and School Preparedness is seeking three Investigator Trainee positions in Trenton, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary investigations and gather evidence
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports
• Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills
• Support field operations as directed

Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Four (4) years of professional experience relevant to the position
• Or thirty (30) semester hour credits equivalent to one (1) year of relevant experience

Education/Experience

• Professional experience in criminal justice, investigations, or other public service related fields preferred

Note

• Appointees who successfully complete the twelve (12) month training period will be eligible for advancement to Investigator 1 under Civil Service Commission procedures
• The inability to achieve a level of performance warranting advancement to Investigator 1 shall result in separation
