DoD Skillbridge Fellow - Program Manager

About the role

Armaments Research Company (ARC) is a technology company dedicated to delivering real‑time situational awareness and battlefield logistics capabilities to the warfighter through its AI‑Enabled Weapons Sensor (AEWS). The ARC SkillBridge program offers transitioning service members a civilian fellowship during the last 180 days of service, typically lasting 3–4 months with flexible start dates. Fellows receive midpoint and final evaluations to assess performance and potential for future employment. This position is based in Ashburn, VA and focuses on planning, executing, and overseeing multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet defined requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, timelines, and resources.
• Allocate and manage human and material resources effectively.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to project success.
• Create and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial constraints are met.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges regularly to stakeholders.
• Implement project plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed.
• Proactively identify and resolve project issues and obstacles.
• Adjust schedules, budgets, and plans to accommodate changes and unforeseen circumstances.

Requirements

• Service member must be within 180 days of separating from service.
• Ability to maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required for federal government security screening.
• Willingness to collaborate with internal stakeholders and brief external customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with maintaining and operating firearms.
• Access to restricted information and facilities protected under U.S. laws and regulations, including NISPOM, with employment contingent on required authorizations.
