Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides expert support, analysis and research into especially complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter.
- Serves as technical expert on high-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.
- Thinks independently and demonstrates superior written and oral communications skills.
- Possesses a complete understanding and wide experience in the application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
- Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.
- Independently determines and develops approach to solutions and contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects.
Required Skills/Abilities
- US Citizenship
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing financial analyses for defense, intelligence, or civil agency program
- The ability to obtain a government issued Active Secret Clearance
- Strong expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis to support organizational financial goals and strategic decision-making
- Proficiency in analyzing large datasets and preparing accurate, detailed financial reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to perform variance analysis, identifying trends, potential risks, and opportunities for cost savings or increased efficiency
- Proficiency in financial tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience developing and maintaining detailed financial models, including cost-benefit analyses and "what-if" scenarios for projects or organizational initiatives
- Knowledge of Government and DoD financial regulations, ensuring compliance with federal standards in reporting and budgeting
- Familiarity with contractual financial requirements such as invoicing, funding allocation, and monitoring burn rates
- Experience presenting financial findings to high-level stakeholders, including Government and DoD customers
- Has some experience in one of the following Information Technology areas: e.g., Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management, or a specific functional area (e.g., finance, logistics, and operations research)
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or business)
