DoD - Palantir Ontology Engineer - Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure ontology objects within Palantir Foundry to represent audit artifacts, requirements, controls, and supporting documentation.
• Define relationships between ontology objects to support artifact traceability across audit lifecycle stages.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines that ingest and transform financial, logistics, and property data sources into the ontology.
• Configure object views and operational data structures that enable artifact tracking and lifecycle visibility.
• Collaborate with data engineers and functional stakeholders to ensure ontology structures support audit workflows and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Navy financial management stakeholders to translate audit requirements into ontology structures and data models.
• Support artifact traceability across audit lifecycle stages to strengthen audit response and reporting.
• Ensure platform outputs support audit response and financial control validation.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 7+ years of enterprise data engineering, analytics development, or data architecture.
• Experience: 2+ years Palantir Foundry experience or experience working with comparable enterprise data platforms.
• Experience: Designing or implementing semantic data models, ontologies, or knowledge graph architectures.
• Experience: Supporting Navy FM, FMDDT, or financial system audit readiness initiatives.
• Skills: Strong understanding of ontology modeling and semantic data architecture.
• Skills: Experience with data pipelines, data modeling, and transformation workflows.
• Skills: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure cloud environments.
• Skills: Ability to translate business or audit requirements into technical data models.
• Skills: Strong collaboration skills working across technical and functional teams.
