Job Position Summary
Responsibilities
- Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
- Manage controlled documents including but not limited to Drawings, Product specifications, Standard Work Instructions, etc.
- Capture and disseminate changes between the MRP systems and management team, as well as implementation of necessary actions.
- Bridge the gap between Design, Manufacturing and Quality.
- Work with suppliers, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, configuration, inspection, and value streams as required to assist FAI Inspectors with data collections necessary for First Article Packages.
- Manage annual reviews with department managers of Procedures and Standard Work Instructions to ensure compliance to company Quality management system.
- Coordinate annual reviews with department managers of Procedures and Standard Work Instructions to ensure compliance to company Quality management system.
- Maintain a clean organized work area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in maintaining a document control system or an equivalent system.
- Experience in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry to include Aerospace standards and specifications.
- The ability to read engineering drawings/documents as well as understand revision/configuration control.
- The ability to read and balloon engineering drawings to assist First Article Inspectors with First Article package preparations.
- Proficient Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office.
- The ability to multitask and pivot from one task to another.
- The ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
Qualifications
- Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
- Must be able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
Skills
- Ability to read and balloon engineering drawings.
- Ability to read engineering drawings/documents.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
Benefits
- Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
- May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
Schedule
