Doctor's Technician
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet patients and customers upon entry, identifying their needs to enhance the customer experience.
- Answer customer inquiries and gather necessary information to facilitate sales.
- Foster a strong partnership between the retail team and professional services.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, enter new patient history and personal information, complete pre-test, obtain brief medical history, perform noncontact tonometry, auto-refraction, visual acuity, color test, stereopsis test, amsler grid test, etc.
- Aid in managing patient complaints and update management on the status of jobs to ensure all patient expectations are met.
- Ensure brand standards by performing basic housekeeping duties as needed.
- Execute simple customer repairs, assemble lenses into frames, edge stock lenses, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer orders.
- Ensure brand standards in the lab area, report equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc., to management.
- Track delivery time commitments to patients (Now Service, Ready When Promised) to achieve 100% compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Key Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or advanced certification beyond a high school diploma, or currently enrolled in a comparable program.
- At least 2 years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients and/or customers.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Skills in active listening, building rapport, and empathizing with patients.
- Proactivity in addressing potential patients’ concerns or rebuttals through problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative spirit, building respectful and cordial relationships with team and patients.
- A drive for results and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible in a team environment.
- A passion for customer satisfaction and maintaining a positive demeanor.
