About the role
TForce Freight is seeking a part-time Dockworker to join a growing team. This position is vital to ensure freight is loaded safely and efficiently so that customer freight is delivered on time and in the same condition received. As part of a dynamic, safety-focused team, you will operate powered warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, hydraulic jacks, and extended belts. Tractors will be utilized to maneuver vehicles efficiently and safely, even in tight spaces.
TForce Freight is a less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier in North America, operating as a subsidiary of TFI International. The company provides transportation and logistics services for various types of shipments, including palletized and heavy LTL loads, with 178+ service centers offering regional, interregional, and long-haul transportation, cross-border services, and advanced tracking technology.
Responsibilities
- Operate yard trucks to manage dock needs and maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Print BOL (Bill of Lading) for daily deliveries.
- Process and palletize all damaged, penny, and RTV merchandise.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure workplace.
- Help maintain and care for dock equipment.
- Unload cargo using cranes or forklifts.
- Secure shipments upon arrival.
Requirements
- No CDL required.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
- U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Safety-focused, with the ability to perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Customer-focused and team-oriented work ethic.
- Forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain).
Pay
Starting rate: $15.40 per hour.
