Dockhand

About the role

The New Bern Grand Yacht Club is seeking a full-time dockhand to join the team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the marina environment and committed to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Offer customer service to boaters and clients, assisting with docking boats, fueling, and acquiring amenities.
• Participate in maintaining and enhancing the upkeep and curb appeal of the facility to ensure a delightful experience for all visitors.
• Perform maintenance duties on docks, grounds, and buildings as part of the team's responsibilities.

Requirements

• Strong swimming skills.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain necessary licenses, certificates, or permits, including health and safety certification.
• General knowledge of marina operations, including boat lifting, handling, and towing.
• Proven skills in VHF communication, first-aid, and fire-fighting procedures.
• A valid driver’s license.
• A Boaters License is required.
