The Docketing Technician (Office Automation) position serves the United States Attorney's Office, District of Montana. Typical work assignments include developing and maintaining automated records, receiving inquiries on case status, retrieving information, exercising confidentiality, and integrating various software outputs.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains automated records from initial referral to final disposition and case file closure.
- Receives inquiries on case status.
- Retrieves information using routine queries from hard copy reports.
- Exercises confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgement in determining what information may be properly released.
- Integrates output from different software types into work processing or desktop publishing text.
- Develops local docketing training and activities and materials.
- Advises other docketing personnel on unique or complex cases or situations.
Qualifications
- To be qualified as the GS-05 level, you must meet at least one of the following conditions: specialized experience, education, or a combination of education and experience.
- To be eligible at the GS-06 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level.
Skills
Typing at least 40 words per minute is required.
