Description

A mid-size Chicago law firm seeking full-time Docket Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter with a high level of attention to detail and must possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also be able to work well in a team environment while being able to independently follow through on a task from start to finish with minimal direction.

Essential Functions

  • Track, save and process court filings on court electronic docket websites.
  • Administer Firm’s docket database. This includes entering case related information into data fields within the case management software, sending to-dos and emails to attorneys, calendaring hearings, depositions, trial dates, etc.
  • Help to schedule upcoming hearings and coordinate coverage.
  • Assist the docket specialists with tasks related to opening and closing of cases and new client transfers.
  • Making occasional trips to nearby court.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Associates degree or equivalent law firm experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be familiar with court dockets, court procedures, and electronic filing websites
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess a high level or organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines with accuracy

Compensation and Benefits Overview

$52,500-$60,000 (DOE) The pay offered for this role may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Eligible employees may also receive bonus opportunities and other forms of compensation, contributing to a comprehensive total rewards package.
