Responsibilities
- Supervises and facilitates loading of catering vehicles while ensuring timely kitchen departure.
- Cookery coordination, instruction, and training of staff to ensure timely staging of flights to the respectively assigned loading docks.
- Utilizes assigned IT hardware/software (i.e. O2P) to monitor and facilitate the above.
- Do final check with dispatch on accuracy of performed staging.
- Ensures quality control is carried out and flights are complete.
- Ensures compliance with quality assurance, food safety & hygiene regulations, security, and operational procedures as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
- Conducts audits and inspections of flights and dock activities to verify completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborates with Flight Assembly and Dispatch teams to address service disruptions, shortages, missing items, equipment issues, and special customer requirements.
- Completes activities to ensure quality control on flights such as, but not limited to: Add missing items, add ice, inform flight assembly of missing carts, canisters, or bulk loaded items.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and team supervision skills.
- Requirements necessary to obtain/hold/maintain airport ID.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise.
- Majority of duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
- Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
- Communicate effectively with team members, make sure communication is clear and understood by coworkers.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Min 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, airline catering, or related operations.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License (DL) required.
