Role Qualifications
- Maintain excellent rapport with customers.
- Stay current with technical knowledge on products we support.
- Ensure safety in all activities encountered throughout the day.
- Willing to work overtime as needed to satisfy customer needs, including off-hours emergency calls.
Position Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain and repair loading docks, dock levelers, dock seals, truck shelters, and overhead doors.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, air, and electrical issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on dock equipment.
- Respond to emergency repair calls as needed.
- Attend service training classes offered to maintain knowledge on new products, or for refreshers on products not encountered too often.
- Complete all service jobs that are assigned to you.
- Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on (timecards, maintenance reports with customers’ signature).
- Paperwork must be completed at job site before leaving for the next job or going home.
- Maintain accurate service and inspection records.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse and logistics teams.
- Communicate with dispatcher and/or service office as to status of jobs and availability for new jobs.
- Maintain an organized service van.
