Responsibilities
- Submit clean, accurate claims for durable medical equipment and related services.
- Maintain and update prior authorizations and required documentation.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Communicate billing updates and payer requirements to internal departments.
- Review accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collections activities.
- Process Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMNs) and other required documentation.
- Verify insurance benefits, eligibility, and payer requirements.
- Monitor claim status and proactively follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing guidelines.
- Experience with accounts receivable follow-up, denials management, claim corrections, and appeals.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively managing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical billing software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HDMS, Brightree, or other DME billing software.
- Knowledge of CMNs, medical documentation requirements, and prior authorizations.
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or other medical billing certification.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually.
