DME Home Delivery Specialist/UKHC

About the role

Assists DME staff in the transportation and distribution of supplies to home care patients. Must excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment adhering to strict deadlines. Works closely with DME staff to meet the needs of the department including, but not limited to, assisting with procurement and movement of supplies, preventative maintenance of equipment, and routine cleaning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists DME staff in the transportation and distribution of supplies to home care patients.
• Works closely with DME staff to meet the needs of the department including, but not limited to, assisting with procurement and movement of supplies, preventative maintenance of equipment, and routine cleaning requirements.

Requirements

• Nationally Certified Durable Medical Equipment Specialist (CDME) by the Board of Certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire date for the position;
• Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire or on day 1 if previously registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, carry, push objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds, kneel and bend, stand, walk, sit, talk, see and hear.
• The conditions may involve loud noises, cuts/punctures, blood borne pathogens, risk of injury from moving/lifting.
• Requires manual dexterity and driving in all conditions.
• Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and fork lift.
