Responsibilities
- Operates vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, to transport materials in all types of weather.
- Loads and unloads vehicles using hand truck, dolly, etc.
- Completes driver daily logs, sections of vehicle log sheet and/or trip ticket form.
- Prepares shipping documents as necessary or required.
- Inspects vehicle, reports condition, and arranges for repair and maintenance, safety inspections, and vehicle license as required and approved and complete monthly reports as required.
- Cleans interior and exterior of vehicle including waxing.
- Checks and adds oil, gas, water, air and other such items.
- Maintains equipment inventory records and assists in completing daily DME activity reports.
- Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, spark plugs, etc.
- May assist with quarterly Inventory Reports.
- Delivers and sets up medical equipment in the client's place of residence and instructs the proper, safe and efficient operation.
- Advises patient and/or caregiver regarding maintenance and care of medical equipment.
- Picks up, cleans and makes minor repairs to medical equipment.
- Makes monthly equipment/oxygen maintenance assessment visits.
- Assists with store display and pricing of supplies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
- Must possess a valid drivers license;
- May be required to travel to any ARH facility occasionally, but not on a regular schedule.
- Must possess the ability to solve arithmetic problems, read and follow directions, function effectively and efficiently on an independent basis, as well as under direct supervision and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Two (2) weeks to one (1) month is required to attain proficiency of performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
