Responsibilities

• Ensure all claims have appropriate codes and that medical necessity is met for the equipment provided.
• Communicate with private insurance companies to verify coverage, attach required documentation, and obtain timely payment.
• Post payments as received and follow up on denied claims promptly.
• Create and maintain accurate patient files.
• Perform data entry and use Brightree software (preferred).

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills, effective communication, and professionalism.
• Prior experience with insurance review, prior authorization, medical review, or working on an insurance team.
• Ability to communicate with insurance companies for verification, claim follow‑up, and resolution.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk at a desk; operate office machinery and a computer; occasionally lift or move items up to 20 lb; and use visual abilities for reading, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
