Join our passionate Food Services Team as a full-time Food Service Supervisor. You’ll help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and support operations alongside a manager who coordinates and leads daily activities. Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain work schedules; may prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
- Direct daily activities to ensure safe and high-quality food production according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
- Ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
- Maintain all serving schedules; ensure food items are served per menu specifications following Aramark policies and procedures.
- Maintain a sanitary department in compliance with health and safety codes and regulations.
- Conduct accurate weekly inventory; may prepare orders to ensure accurate production.
- Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel, promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
- Train and mentor other food service workers.
- Maintain logs for equipment maintenance and ensure food safety/temperature logs are completed with corrective actions as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance checklists and recommend equipment replacements to meet facility needs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in multitasking.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager when skills or experience are vital.
- Fill in for absent employees at the location as necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and confirm preparation and on-time delivery.
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
- Attend food service meetings with staff.
- Maintain communication with staff (including office staff, email, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc.).
- Perform cashier duties as needed.
- Promote good public relations.
Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.
Requirements
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year of employment.
- Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Strong interpersonal skills to resolve situations.
- Strong organizational skills.
