About the role
The Department of Juvenile Justice seeks an Operations Coordinator to manage contracts and oversee service performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing contract management functions to oversee provider service performance.
- Serve as a primary contact between the Department and the service provider/program.
- Review all contract monitoring reports to ensure service delivery according to contract terms and conditions.
- Communicate contract compliance issues to program area and provider staff in a timely manner.
- Review, approve and maintain provider subcontracts and agreements prior to their execution.
- Develop and maintain a contract file for each contract for which the employee is designated as the contract manager.
- Maintain contract expenditure and budget ledger.
- Coordinate the activation of contracted programs.
- Oversee closure of services with the provider and complete a contract file closeout.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational management analysis.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
- Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Skills
- Knowledge of F.S. 215.422, Florida Statutes, Prompt Payment Compliance Law and confidential/protected information Chapter 119, Florida Statutes; HIPAA; or any other state and/or federal laws.
- Experience with Department administrative review tools.
- Experience with JJIS and census reports.
- Experience with Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR).
- Experience with Major Maintenance Fund (MMF) bank account statements.
- Experience with Generals Services, Information Technology, Background Screening Unit (BSU) and Staff Development & Training (SD&T).
- Experience with outside community based, government, county, and city entities.
