Divisional Quality Control Manager
About the role
SRM Concrete is seeking a dedicated Regional Quality Control Manager to lead our commitment to excellence in concrete products. This pivotal role involves ensuring products meet and exceed industry standards and client expectations, building and mentoring a team of skilled technicians, collaborating across departments, and driving quality initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage teams of quality control departments in multiple states.
- Interpret test results, compare findings to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations for product release.
- Perform visual inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with all quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with production, operations, sales, and technical services teams to identify and resolve production challenges affecting quality.
- Develop and implement quality control training programs for production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate, organized records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.
- Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the concrete industry to recommend enhancements to quality control processes.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire your team to uphold SRM’s reputation for excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management.
- ACI certification preferred and/or the ability to obtain ACI certifications.
- Strong understanding of concrete technology, testing methods, and quality assurance best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management software.
- Flexible and able to accommodate varying shifts based on scheduled pours, including day and overnight shifts.
- Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
