Divisional Director (Registered Nurse) Critical Care-Progressive Care-Telemetry

About the role

The managed area includes a 24 bed Critical Care Unit, an 18 bed Progressive Care Unit and an 18 bed Cardiac/Telemetry Unit. Under the direction of the Vice President of Nursing (VP), the Divisional Director is responsible for managing a specific clinical division on a 24-hour basis for the planning and comprehensive operations and ensuring compliance with hospital and nursing mission, goals, philosophy, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of patient care
• Ensures quality care is provided through appropriate allocation of human resources
• Maintains financial control of the units
• Serves as a liaison between administration and staff

Requirements

• BSN, Master's Degree preferred
• Unrestricted AL or Multi State RN License
• BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of Director level experience required including Business and Personnel experience
• Background in Critical Care required
• Must demonstrate personal and professional responsibility
• Must assume responsibility for own professional development
