About the role

Join Granger Companies, Inc. as our Divisional Controller, leading accounting and financial reporting for Central Excavation and Range Mapping. Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with Operations to provide insights that directly influence project performance and profitability.
• Own Financial Accuracy and Visibility by leading accounting and reporting for two dynamic business units, ensuring timely, accurate, and meaningful financial data.
• Drive Better Decisions Through Data by translating financial results into actionable insights, helping teams understand performance and identify opportunities.
• Work Across the Business by collaborating with operations, risk management, and leadership to ensure alignment across financial and project outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
• Track record of strong financial ownership and accuracy
• Experience analyzing financial performance and translating insights into action
• Ability to build strong relationships and partner effectively with operations teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills across financial and non-financial audiences
• High level of initiative—asking questions, identifying gaps, and solving problems independently
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Qualifications

• Nice to have: experience in construction or job-cost accounting, background in public accounting and/or CPA designation, experience with ERP systems such as Viewpoint Vista and Procore, advanced Excel skills
