Division Head-Pediatric Gastroenterology (Henry Ford Hospital - Detroit)
About the role
The Division Head in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Pancreatology and Nutrition is seeking an innovative, energetic individual to lead the development of the centers of excellence and drive the academic and clinical components of this growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the supervision and education of medical students and residents.
- Provide ambulatory and inpatient care, consultative services, and perform general GI procedures.
- Develop and lead the centers of excellence in IBD, Nutrition, Celiac, Hepatobiliary and Pancreas, Airway, EOE and Food Allergy, Neurogastroenterology.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary clinical and research collaboration.
Requirements
- M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree, or equivalent
- Completion of an ACGME approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology
- Licensed by the Michigan Medical Board
- Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology medicine (or eligible for same)
Qualifications
Competence in general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures is required.
Skills
Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to advancing pediatric gastroenterology are essential.
