DIVISION CHIEF FOR PEDIATRIC ANESTHESIA

Position Description

The University of Iowa Department of Anesthesia is seeking a pediatric anesthesia expert to lead the division. This role includes clinical oversight, education, and research.

Education Requirement

Candidates must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree and complete an approved residency training program in Anesthesiology.

Required Qualifications

• Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Iowa
• Candidates must be board-certified in Anesthesiology (or non-US Board equivalent)
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective strategies for working with diverse groups

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in pediatric anesthesia
• Fellowship training or equivalent experience in Pediatric Anesthesia
• Experience in teaching and clinical research

Certifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Salary

Commensurate with experience.
