Position Summary
This position performs intermediate-level division accounting activities to support accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational execution. This role works under moderate supervision to prepare reconciliations, process journal entries, and analyze divisional financial data with moderate impact on team results. It collaborates with internal partners to resolve accounting issues and ensures accounting records align with established policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for division accounting activities
Analyze divisional financial data to identify discrepancies, variances, and items requiring further review
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for division accounting functions
Investigate and resolve accounting issues through analysis and coordination with internal partners
Maintain organized accounting documentation to support internal controls and audit readiness
Communicate with internal teams to explain accounting policies, procedures, and data requirements
Aid in preparation of audit materials, internal reports, and divisional financial analyses
Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, documentation practices, or system utilization
Required Education & Experience
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, or equivalent (e.g., 6–8 years)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
Experience performing division or general accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries
Ability to provide informal guidance or assistance to others within a team environment
Preferred
Additional experience in division accounting or multi-entity environments
Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and divisional accounting procedures
Experience using ERP systems, accounting software, and spreadsheet applications
Skills & Competencies
Broad knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and divisional reporting requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving accounting issues
Effective communication skills for explaining accounting concepts and procedures
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation and review
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under moderate supervision
Proficiency with ERP systems, accounting software, and spreadsheet applications
Ability to interpret and apply accounting policies and procedures
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in a general office environment with standard business hours. Limited travel may be required to support meetings, audits, or divisional coordination.

Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods during computer-based work
Ability to move within office environments to collaborate with colleagues or access materials
Ability to review financial statements, reports, and accounting documentation
Ability to operate computers and standard office equipment
Ability to lift or move materials up to moderate weights as needed
Compensation
Base Salary: $65,000-$85,000
FLSA Status: Exempt
