About the role

Join the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Payments Sales team as a Payments Sales Manager (PSM) Associate within the Diversified Industries team. You will drive the end-to-end client experience, develop new business from clients within a specific segment, and support Payments Sales Managers with sales efforts and day-to-day relationship management for Large Corporate Clients. This role involves selling high-value products, building a strong pipeline, and executing a comprehensive selling strategy in collaboration with Product and Banking coverage teams.

You will collaborate with Client Service, Implementations, Operations, Technology, Risk, Credit, and Legal to optimize delivery and gain a thorough understanding of the market, industry, client organizational structures, and business objectives to position JPMorgan solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Deepen and grow existing market relationships.
  • Support portfolio growth by assisting Payments Sales Managers with sales execution and client engagement activities.
  • Develop new profitable business from prospective clients.
  • Engage JPMorgan Payments Solutions, Bankers, and clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client-driven framework.
  • Partner with internal product stakeholders to represent the client perspective in the development and evolution of complex products and solutions.
  • Understand clients' business goals, environments, strategies, and industry trends to identify potential new business opportunities for JP Morgan Payments, including Treasury Services, Merchant Services, Trade & Working Capital, and Commercial Card.
  • Analyze competitors' capabilities and gaps to position JP Morgan Payments effectively.
  • Manage client visitation and contact, promoting sales through frequent client meetings and discussions on new products, market, and industry developments.
  • Oversee proposal writing and the entire sales process, including competitive RFIs/RFPs.
  • Develop and enhance in-depth client knowledge and share it with the client coverage team for new business development and risk management.
  • Work closely with the coverage team to expand existing business with current clients, provide feedback to product managers, and generate cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong relationships with other JP Morgan lines of business.
  • Partner with Sales Success Office, Client Service, and Implementations to retain, grow, and enhance existing client relationships.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of cash management, sales, and relationship management experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Payments products.
  • Competence in assessing new opportunities and contacting key decision-makers.
  • Strong account planning and demonstrated execution skills.
  • Creative solution and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and develop relationships.
  • Superb attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Understanding of Compliance and KYC processes.
  • Effective collaboration, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.

Pay

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. Eligible roles may receive commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in the form of cash and/or forfeitable equity, awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
