Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Serve as the designated Dive Supervisor on underwater projects involving inspection, construction, repair, and maintenance.
- Ensure all dive operations are conducted in full compliance with ADCI Consensus Standards, U.S. Coast Guard regulations, and site-specific safety protocols.
- Lead pre-dive briefings, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses.
- Maintain oversight of the dive team, safety and equipment during all phases of the dive.
- Ensure all dive logs, reports, and safety records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field, including equipment malfunctions, environmental challenges, or emergent safety concerns.
- Cookordination mobilization/demobilization of dive spreads and support vessels.
- Assist in transport of dive gear, including trailering utility trailers and boats.
- Communicate with clients, project managers, and engineers regarding site conditions, findings, and project updates.
Qualifications
- ADCI Diver Supervisor Certification is required.
- Commercial Diving Certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6 years of diving experience, including 2+ years as a dive supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of diving physics, physiology, and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with surface-supplied air diving systems, underwater tools, NDT methods, and inspection reporting.
- DOT-compliant medical examination and fitness to dive.
- Travel up to 50% is required and work in various environments, depending on home office location.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
