About the role

The District Manager at Mohawk Industries is a senior-level manager responsible for leading a Field Sales team to drive revenue and customer satisfaction. This role involves creating strategies to boost sales, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction within a defined geographic area.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely participate in sales calls with the Field Sales team to support their efforts.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales leadership to develop and manage sales forecasting and targets for the geography and field sales team members.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and collaborate with sales representatives to address their needs or issues.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand local trends, competition, and customer behavior, using insights to inform sales strategies and approaches.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales leadership to optimize geographic assignments for Field Sales team members to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular sales team meetings to review performance, share updates, and communicate organizational strategies.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the Field Sales team to help resolve customer issues or concerns.
  • Oversee the use of the customer relationship management (CRM) system by Field Sales team members to manage customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.
  • Monitor Field Sales team members' selling techniques and customer interactions to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain geographical expense reporting to ensure adherence to budgets and company travel and expense policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 8-10 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 3-5 years of management experience.

  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

Other Information

  • This employee will be responsible for direct reports.
  • Travel required approximately 50% of the time.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
