About the role

The Healthcare Food & Environmental Services District Manager is responsible for providing the overall vision, planning, direction, and control to assigned units for a geographic district generating $12-30M+ in revenue. This leadership role focuses on growth, cost, productivity, people leadership, and delivering financial commitments. Frequent travel to client sites throughout the district is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Establish ownership and accountability for operational management and financial performance of multiple accounts. Model key leadership behaviors to ensure safety, quality, and service excellence. Coach and mentor employees, identify and develop top talent, and lead team management meetings.
  • Client Relationship: Build and maintain effective client and customer rapport. Identify client needs, communicate operational progress, and understand contractual obligations. Support new business and retention activities, and ensure customer satisfaction surveys are completed.
  • Financial Performance: Manage budget, build revenue, and ensure completion of P&L statements. Deliver financial targets using Aramark systems, analyze performance metrics, and educate teams on improving margins.
  • Productivity: Implement corporate labor and financial initiatives. Ensure efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management. Apply Aramark’s operating standards, focusing on efficiency, and oversee supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure unit managers maintain a safe and healthy environment. Follow all policies, rules, and regulations related to safety, health, and wage and hour standards.

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned to meet commitments.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of proven leadership experience, including P&L responsibility within hospitality, retail, facilities, direct store delivery, or food and beverage industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with broad knowledge of management practices, business judgment, and client/consumer interaction.
  • Ability to hire, assess, develop, and grow talent.
  • Comfort with reading, understanding, and implementing contractual requirements, including identifying opportunities within contract terms.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Proven success in a repeatable business model, including leading through change and turnaround initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is generally required; advanced degree in business or a related field is preferred.
