About the role
At EquipmentShare, we're hiring a District Field Technician at our rental facility in Omaha, NE. This role is a field-based leadership and technical position, responsible for supporting, evaluating, coaching, and providing feedback to other technicians. The technician will handle complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and major and minor repairs on a variety of equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform complex machine diagnosis and major component removal and replacement.
- Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment.
- Absorb and assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Attend all Safety Meetings and consistently practice safe job practices for equipment repair.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
- Fill in at times during leadership gaps within store service areas.
Required
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be clean-shaven for certain customers' requirements.
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen.

Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Education and experience: High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred; experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
