About the role

At EquipmentShare, we're hiring a District Field Technician at our rental facility in Omaha, NE. This role is a field-based leadership and technical position, responsible for supporting, evaluating, coaching, and providing feedback to other technicians. The technician will handle complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and major and minor repairs on a variety of equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform complex machine diagnosis and major component removal and replacement.
  • Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment.
  • Absorb and assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Attend all Safety Meetings and consistently practice safe job practices for equipment repair.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
  • Fill in at times during leadership gaps within store service areas.

Required

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be clean-shaven for certain customers' requirements.
  • Must pass a 10-panel drug screen.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
  • Education and experience: High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred; experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
