About the Role
Under general supervision, drive a school bus to transport students to and from school and other authorized activities. Perform related duties as required.
Requirements
- Valid CA Class B Driver’s License or higher
- Passenger Endorsement
- Valid School Bus Driver Certificate
- Valid medical examiner’s certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate acceptable to CA Highway Patrol
- Air Brake Endorsement
- Knowledge of California Motor Vehicle Code and Education Code as it pertains to transporting school students
- Successfully pass the District Test
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience as a licensed motor vehicle operator (experience in an educational setting preferred)
Pay
$23.60 - $36.60 per hour (Classified Salary Schedule: Step 32 A-J)
Schedule
182 days per year / 8 hours per day (split shift)
Full-time position located in the Transportation Department.
